The film was shot in my family home in Sevilla. It continues the dialogue about broken pieces. Blanca Li is the choreographer. I had this idea for a long time about breaking a big ceramic sculpture and make a performance out of it. I asked her if she would like to be part of it and she was super excited. The dress like sculpture was made out of four hundred hand crafted porcelain pieces, each different, sewn together with wire. It took two people working full time for three months to make it. It was very hard work. We put so much care and effort in it, to destroy it was very hard. It was an act of real violence. The dancer’s gesture is empowering, she is free, the break is a moment of creation.
